This is a creamy and decadent pasta alfredo with bacon and mushroom recipe. It takes less than an hour to make which makes it an easy and quick mid-week dinner meal.

- 180 grams linguine pasta spaghetti will do too
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 2 white onions finely chopped
- 1 green pepper
- 4 pieces shoulder bacon
- 150 grams mushroom sliced
- 2 tbsp butter unsalted
- 3 tsp mixed herb
- 2 tsp spice for rice
- 2 tsp paprika
- ½ tbsp plain flour
- 1 cup full fat milk
- ½ cup cream
Cook your linguine by placing water and salt into a pot on high heat, once your water starts to boil add your linguine and allow it to cook until it is al dante
Once your linguine is cooked drain it and set it aside.
In a large pan heat your oil on medium heat and fry your bacon. Once it is cooked set it aside.
In the same pan add your butter along with your onions, allow your onions to brown before adding your green peppers and mushroom.
In the meantime chop your bacon into bite-sized pieces. Then add it to your vegetables.
Once your vegetables have cooked, add the spices along with flour and stir well.
Once everything has combined add your milk and cream. Stir well and allow your sauce to thicken.
Lastly add in your cooked linguine, stir well and enjoy.
