iced coconut milk mocha macchiato recipe (Starbucks copycat)

This refreshing yet creamy iced mocha macchiato recipe tastes similar to the starbucks iced coconutmilk mocha macchiato the best part is that this recipe does not need an espresso machine. It is a perfect summertime drink that satisfies all your chocolate cravings. This recipe requires simple ingredients like creamy coconut milk, rich chocolate, shots of espresso and ice cubes and you are good to go.

Equipment

  • 2 mason jars

Ingredients
  

  • ice cubes enough to fill both jars up until it is three quarters full
  • 1 tbsp instant esspresso
  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 80 grams melted chocolate standard slab of chocolate
  • 60 grams fresh cream
  • 1 can coconut milk whisked
  • cocoa powder enough to sprinkle as a garnish

Instructions
 

  • Start off by brewing your espresso coffee by mixing the hot water, honey and instant espresso in a small ramekin. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl whisk the melted chocolate and fresh cream until it turns into a chocolate ganache.
  • Now add the brewed coffee to the chocolate ganache and mix well.
  • Now prepare your glasses by adding ice cubes enough to fill three-quarters of the glasses. Then fill the glasses up with coconut milk until it is three-quarters full.
  • Now add equal parts of the coffee and chocolate sauce to your two glasses.
  • Mix well and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
