Equipment

  • tinfoil enough to fully cover your hake

Ingredients
  

  • 380 grams hake fillet
  • ½ lemon
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tsp sweet basil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ¼ cup melted salted butter

Instructions
 

  • To begin with, dry your hake by patting it gently with kitchen paper towel, then create four slight cuts into the hake.
  • In a ramekin place your butter and spices namely: lemon, salt, garlic powder, sweet basil and paprika into a ramekin and stir well until everything is combined. Set aside.
  • Now, place your hake fillet onto the tinfoil and marinate it with the butter marinate. Make sure to do this on both sides.
  • Prepare your lemon by slicing it and then placing it on top of your hake fillet. Cover your fish well with the tin foil and grill on high medium-high heat for about 12 minutes on each side. ( if you are making this in your oven then preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius on the grill. Once your oven has preheated, place your hake into the oven for 15 minutes or until your hake is done)
