Sweet plantain chips have a delicious starchy sweet taste with the texture of a banana and sweet potato combined. You will love this fried sweet plantain chip recipe, it is easy to follow and absolutely delicious.

- 2 ripe plantains
- canola oil enough to deep fry
Prepare your plantain by peeling it. Do this by chopping the ends off then making a slight incision into the skin. Gently remove the skin.
Slice your peeled plantain into thin half a centimetre slices.
Prepare your oil by heating it on medium heat in a medium-sized pot.
Once your oil is hot, place your plantain in the oil and allow it to fry until it is golden brown and crispy.
Place your cooked plantain onto paper towels to allow excess oil to drain.
Do this for the remaining plantain slices.enjoy this with a side of jollof rice or your favourite dip.
